Dr. Michael Petersen

    Dr. Petersen graduated from Iowa State University in 1980. He practiced in Sun Prairie before starting Stoughton Veterinary Service in March of 1983.In addition to practicing at Stoughton Veterinary Service, Dr. Petersen has provided the veterinary care of the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison since 1989. Dr. Peterson has been a member of several civic groups and town commissions and provides veterinary service for the Stoughton Police Department Canine Unit and for the Madison Capitol Canines.
Dr. Matthew Watrud

Dr. Watrud  graduated from University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2008. He has worked at Stoughton Veterinary Service since his graduation. Dr. Watrud has a strong interest in working with exotic species such as birds reptiles and pocket pets. He has been assisting Dr. Petersen at the Henry Vilas Zoo  since he joined Stoughton Veterinary Service staff. Dr. Watrud also treats Stoughton Police Department's K9 unit German Shepard.

Dr. Vanden Bush graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She also holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and has held numerous positions in the animal health field including Veterinary Technician, Research Assistant and also has worked as a dog trainer.

Dr. Vanden Bush joined Stoughton Veterinary Service in 2014.


Dr. Mark A. McCann
Dr. Mark McCann graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1986 and has been practicing in the Madison area since that time. He received his animal chiropractic education at Options For Animals in 2002, where both chiropractors and veterinarians participate in an intensive 150 hour curriculum. He passed both written and practical examinations given by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association to become a certified animal chiropractor.
Mark is available by appointment only on Wednesdays every week.
